Mariah Carey performs at Rockefeller Center

Mariah Carey is said to be furious with production staff after a recording of her vocals from her Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lights switch-on performance was leaked.

The singer performed live at the event on Wednesday, December 3 after failing to pre-record the day before, and it's now claimed she blames NBC employees for leaking a recording of her less-than-impressive vocals.

Speaking to the New York Daily News newspaper's Confidenti@l column, a source explained: "It's really hard to leak 'just' audio. Mariah is blaming producers for leaking her audio track. She believes they did it to punish her for not showing up to taping the day before the live event!"

Letting NBC staff and the audience wait for three hours before failing to turn up for the pre-record performance, Mariah eventually came the day after and sang her Christmas hit 'All I Want For Christmas Is You'.

A representative for Mariah insists that she has no issues with the employees of NBC, saying anybody could have recorded the track as she used a wireless microphone.

They added that she had "performed beautifully."
