Mark Wright and Nick Grimshaw's team

Mark Wright gave comedian John Bishop a "proper smack in the head" during a star-studded football match.

The former 'Only Way Is Essex' hunk tackled the stand-up star at the game at London's Wembley Stadium yesterday, which was hosted by Radio 1 breakfast show presenter Nick Grimshaw - and John ended up on his face while playing on Olly Murs' team.

The comedian exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I got a proper smack in the head off Mark Wright which nearly knocked me out.

"He's a good player though and I've forgiven him. It's lovely playing Wembley, it's like a dream come true, Olly's got all of his mates together, he hasn't just pulled a load of faces he doesn't know."

Mark, who was a semi professional footballer before he found fame on 'TOWIE', was named Man of the Match after scoring two goals in the 3-3 draw, but it wasn't enough to stop his team losing the match on penalties.

He said: "I'm going to be biased and say we were the better team, we had more chances but were just unlucky.

"Olly Murs is a very good player, it was a good game. We all wanted to win."

Mark was also delighted about playing against his idol, former England striker Alan Shearer.

He added: "To play against Alan Shearer was unbelievable, he was my hero as a child."

The two teams, which also included 'X Factor' 2012 winner James Arthur, Rizzle Kicks and Made in Chelsea's Jamie Laing, played the re-match after presenter Nick was injured in the original game in July against Olly Murs.

The event marked the 150th anniversary of the Football Association and former professional footballer David Beckham gave the teams a few words of encouragement ahead of the game via a video played in the stadium.

Nick said: "I had a team talk from David Beckham, he's on the show on Thursday, he's a good guy.

"It does affect you being at Wembley, it was quite a moment coming in.

"I also gave a good team talk and I didn't have to b*****k anyone. I just tried to inspire everyone and make them feel as though they deserve to be here."
