The 'Apocalypse Now' star will address 12,000 students and teachers in London next month as part of a youth empowerment event organised by international activists and We Day co-founders, Craig and Marc Kielburger.

Martin - who has spoken at other We Day events previously - said: "Speaking at past We Days has been extremely rewarding. I see the same passion I have for activism in the tens of thousands of youth in the crowd.

"This generation's conviction to speak out about issues that they are passionate about will create a chain reaction, generating positive change around the world."

The award-winning actor will be joined by a whole host of celebrities, who will inspire young people through their speeches or performances, including Shawn Mendes, Nelson Mandela's grandson Kweku Mandela and television presenter Laura Whitmore, who will be co-hosting the event.

Sir Richard Branson, 'Waves' hitmaker Mr. Probz and Conor Maynard will also make an appearance.

We Day UK - which is free of charge to the students and teachers in attendance and sponsored by Virgin Atlantic Airways and Barclays - will take place at The SSE Arena, Wembley, north west London on March 5th.
