Matt Lauer has reportedly been giving feedback to 'Today' producers - despite having his contracted terminated in November.

The 60-year-old TV star was axed from the show after he was accused of inappropriate sexual behaviour towards a colleague, but that hasn't stopped Matt from continuing to take an active interest in the programme.

Matt recently sent an email to a producer saying that he felt they'd used the wrong music at the start of a particular segment, according to the New York Post newspaper's Page Six column.

However, Matt's feedback has not been well received by those people who are still working on the show.

Meanwhile, it was reported last month that Matt is facing a battle to save his 20-year marriage to former model Annette Roque.

In December, Annette met with lawyers to discuss the potential financial consequences of a possible divorce.

She was seen heading into the office of law firm Latham & Watkins in Manhattan, New York, amid the fallout from her husband's sacking.

Annette previously filed for divorce from Matt in 2006, citing "mental abuse, extreme mental and emotional distress, humiliation, torment, and anxiety".

However, she reportedly performed a U-turn a few weeks later after the TV host offered her a post-nuptial agreement, as well as millions more dollars.

A source previously explained: "The post-nup will likely specify how much Annette would get if they divorce, but she is expected to challenge it given Matt's earnings since 2006, and given how he has humiliated her.

"There are also issues over all the property and land they own, both in the Hamptons and abroad."

Following his sacking last year, Matt - who has three children aged between 11 and 16 with his wife - said he was "truly sorry" for his mistakes.

And although he denied some of the allegations made against him, Matt confessed that there was "enough truth in these stories to make me feel embarrassed and ashamed".
