The 'Wannabe' hitmaker did not divulge exactly how her and her bandmates - Victoria Beckham, Mel C, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner - would reunite but she promised they would all be involved in one way or another.

She said: "I can't say anything, but you definitely will see us, all five, back together this year. And not just in Geri's front room! We're friends at the end of the day; we have tea and hang out and we talk about stuff. We're all parents now and for us five to be able to say that we can sell out arenas and concerts, that is a good feeling. My 19-year-old calls me 'vintage'. I don't know if that's cool or not, but I will take it as cool."

It comes after Victoria insisted there will be no Spice Girls tour.

She said: "I'm not going on tour. The girls aren't going on tour. It was so great to see the girls. We had such a fun lunch. It was really, really, really lovely. I still speak to them all individually, but for us all to get together was really lovely.

"There's something so strong in the message of what the Spice Girls stood for. What is that in the future? What does that look like? We were just bouncing ideas around. Brainstorming. But this [fashion] is what I do."

And her bandmate Geri had previously confessed she had given up hope about the girl group reuniting.

Speaking about the possibility of the band reforming for the 20th anniversary of their debut single 'Wannabe', Geri said: "We all pushed for it, like, 'Come on, let's try and make it happen.' It didn't. You get to a point where you go, 'Do you know what, just let it go.' And I was having a baby. I'd really sort of let it go. It's funny, they say let things go and I really had. That's when I decided to go into television. A BBC executive said, 'We think you should do primetime entertainment.' She really encouraged me to do it."
