The 'Working Girl' actress may have split from the 'Puss in Boots' star in June 2014 but they still have a good relationship, as she proved when she wished her "ruggedly handsome" ex-husband a happy birthday on Wednesday (10.08.16).

Melanie - who turned 59 the day before her former spouse turned 56 - shared a red carpet photo of herself and Antonio on Instagram and wrote: "Happy Birthday to my ruggedly handsome ex husband. Will always love you.(sic)"

Meanwhile, Antonio also used social media to send a birthday message to Melanie.

He shared a picture of them with their 19-year-old daughter Stella and wrote in Spanish: "Happy birthday Melanie. A loving hug from Marbella."

Melanie - whose divorce from Antonio was finalised last December - recently admitted she is terrified at the thought of finding love again via internet dating.

When asked if she would do internet dating, Melanie replied: "F**k no! Are you kidding? No. Good lord. That would be scary!

"Looking across a crowded room, right? Isn't that the thing I'm not really looking, I'm just being, and I figure if I'm meant to have another relationship, I will, and if I'm not, then I won't."

The 'Something Wild' star - who also has children Alexander, 30, and Dakota, 27, from previous relationships - admits her life has changed a lot of the past few years and she's trying to embrace it.

She said: "I'm having a very introspective time right now. It's an interesting time. It's just sort of nice. My kids are all great. They're beautiful people. I'm single, and lonely, and bored, and confused - but then at the same time, totally curious. It's almost like I have to throw myself out of the nest.

"Life is moving on. My youngest, Stella, is starting USC in August, in two weeks. She'll be moving out, out. She's got a dorm and everything. So that's kind of a different thing. I won't have any kids at home."
