The 'Ant-Man' actor's mum Diana Douglas Webster - the first wife of his father Kirk - passed away from cancer at the age of 92 earlier this month and he has paid tribute to the "wonderful" lady.

He told Variety: "She was a class act. A real lady. She had a wicked sense of humour, very bright. Just all around, she was a wonderful lady."

And the 70-year-old actor credited Diana with his strong work ethic.

He added: "She taught me more about giving it your best shot and maintaining a good form. She was English-Bermudian so they kind of have a stiff upper lip to carry on."

The 'Wall Street' star is planning to make a trip to Bermuda to scatter his mother's ashes there as it is a place that is very special to his family.

He explained on 'Lorraine': "My mother's side of the family, you should know, is Scottish.

"They were originally, say, privateers and ended up in Bermuda in the 1600s and so my family established itself in Bermuda in the 1600s.

"Bermuda is very special. I was raised there with my mother who passed away just recently and I'll be taking her ashes back to Bermuda soon."
