Naomi Campbell once "kidnapped" Kate Moss for a trip to Dublin.

The British supermodel, describes the Rimmel London campaign star as her "little sister", claims she coaxed Kate into a girls trip to Ireland after the pair struck up a close bond during their early years in the modelling business.

Speaking to the new Issue of Interview Magazine, Naomi recalled: "I was introduced to Kate and Mario Sorrenti at the same time. Then I met Kate again in Madrid. I kidnapped her and that was it. I kidnapped her, stopped in Paris to pick up Christy [Turlington], and we all flew to Dublin together."

Over 20 years after their initial meeting, Naomi, 43, still counts Kate - who is now married to musician Jamie Hince - as a member of her family and one of her closest friends.

She said: "Kate is like my sister. No matter how old she is - she's going to be 40 next year - I look at her as my little sister."

Despite a catwalk career that has spanned over four decades, Naomi insists she is not as confident as she appears at her fashion shows and says she still suffers from terrible nerves.

The beauty said: "They always say, 'Fake it till you make it.' People ask me, 'Are you nervous when you go on the runway? You don't look it.' Yes, I am."

Naomi appears alongside Kate Moss, Christy Turlington and other iconic supermodels for a series of covers for Interview Magazine's special model issue.
