The 'Allegiant' star has been with partner Liev Schreiber for 11 years but admits their "high-pressure jobs" can sometimes make things a bit tricky.

She told Los Angeles Confidential magazine: "Relationships are hard whether you're famous or not. I don't know anyone who doesn't have to work on it. Being an actor doesn't change anything.

"I'm sure it's the same if you're a doctor or a couple of lawyers. You have high-pressure jobs, lots of hours, stresses that come at you unexpectedly - and you have to figure out how to be present in the midst of it all."

However, the 47-year-old actress tries to make things as "normal" as possible for their two children - Samuel, seven and Alexander, eight.

She said previously: "Certainly there are things in my life that reflect the fact I've become successful in this industry, I've earned a certain amount of money, but it's not all like that. And I don't want it to be all like that. I don't want to be driven around in a car all the time. We were in Paris recently and there was a car available for us, but I wanted my kids to walk - I wanted them to see the city!'

"We struggled to create that balance but, knock on wood, it's been OK so far. I try to be the 'normal mum', it's just who I am. It wouldn't be normal for me to operate quote-un-quote like a 'just a movie star.'"
