The 23-year-old singer wants to gather a group of 10 to 15 of his biggest fans and meet with them a few times a year in order to engage better with his supporters.

He wrote on Instagram: "I want to have an even deeper connection with my fans. So I am going to create a board of 10-15 fan ambassadors. These people will be my ... Team leaders that I will meet with a few times a year so we can build this thing together. I can't wait to rally with my fans on everything I do. This is a movement (sic)."

Nick's decision to interact more with his fans comes as fellow popstar Justin Bieber, 22, has cut back on his fan engagement, recently insisting that he will no longer take pictures with admirers.

He wrote on Instagram: "If you happen to see me out somewhere know that I'm not gonna take a picture I'm done taking pictures. It has gotten to the point that people won't even say hi to me or recognize me as a human, I feel like a zoo animal, and I wanna be able to keep my sanity. I realize people will be disappointed but I don't owe anybody a picture. and people who say "but I bought ur album" know that you got my album and you got what you paid for AN ALBUM! It doesn't say in fine print whenever you see me you also get a photo (sic)."

Justin's decision not to take pictures with fans comes just months after he axed all meet-and-greets before concerts because they left him "drained and unhappy" from other people's "spiritual energy."
