Olly Murs played an April Fool's joke on a fan by telling her his concert was cancelled.

The 'Wrapped Up' singer teamed up with Hallam FM's Simon Morykin to play a prank on one of his superfans - Sarah Baxter from Sheffield, south Yorkshire.

Olly pretended to be a man called Tom from the box office at the Motorpoint Arena, Sheffield, where he is due to perform later this evening (01.04.15) and told the unsuspecting fan the gig has been oversold and she may not be able to attend.

Taking as his alter-ego, he asked Sarah to prove how big a fan of Olly she is, saying: "We're phoning everyone to see who really wants to go to the concert.

"We need to get rid of 100 fans unfortunately from the Arena."

To prove her fan status, Sarah was asked to sing some lines from her favourite Olly track, 'Dance With Me Tonight', but she soon realised she was being pranked, asking Tom: "Is this Olly Murs?"

Olly then revealed it was in fact him and was met by screams from the excited fan.

He is currently touring around the UK as part of his 'Never Been Better' tour before jetting off to the rest of Europe.
