Ozzy Osbourne has warned youngsters to shun drugs after Cory Monteith's death.
The Black Sabbath rocker has battled his own addictions for years, and admitted the fact he had survived shouldn't mean people assume they can live the same way.
The 'Glee' star died of a heroin and alcohol overdose and was found in his hotel room eight days ago - and Ozzy is keen young people don't make the same mistakes.
He told the Sunday People newspaper: "I went through all that and I survived. But I haven't got that many friends who I used to do it with. They're all dead ... I'm living on borrowed time.
"Don't think that if Ozzy Osbourne can stay alive through it, that you can. It doesn't work like that."
The 'Changes' singer explained he used to think drugs and alcohol boosted his creativity but realised it was "a load of c**p".
He said: "I used to think that I couldn't write songs or perform without a drug or a drink inside me and that's just a load of c**p.
"You don't need alcohol and you don't need drugs to make music and have fun.
"In recent months I had another go at it and it nearly destroyed me again."
