The man accused of beating up Paris Hilton's brother is on the run from authorities.
Ray LeMoine is alleged to have punched the hotel heiress' younger brother, Barron Hilton, in the face on Friday (06.12.13) in a shocking altercation at a party on Star Island in Miami, rumoured to have started because Barron was "talking s**t" about Lindsay Lohan's new boyfriend prompting pal Ray to reportedly get involved.
The New Yorker fled the scene on Sunday (08.12.13) and is attempting to take refuge in Cuba, according to the Confidenti@l section of the New York Daily News newspaper.
Ray told the publication: "I'm scared of the Hiltons and Paris' Cash Money crew [she has a record deal with the company], so I am seeking refuge in Cuba. Castro hates the Hiltons and took their Havana hotel in 1959 as a base after conquering Cuba, so they are stoked I'm coming down to hate capitalism. Viva la Lohan!"
The newspaper is also reporting claims Lindsay ordered the attack on Barron as payback for bad-mouthing her boyfriend are "utter bulls**t", and the fight actually escalated because Paris' sibling refused to leave the plush party pad Ray had rented for the weekend.
A source said: "This was not an organised operation and had zero to do with Lohan. It is more about someone who was drunk being a d**k.
"There were a bunch of kids at the house, when Ray got back from a party, who weren't meant to be staying there. They had all been up all night drinking and Barron was one of them. When Ray asked Barron to leave, he flipped out and started shouting, 'Don't you know who I am? Do you know who my sister is?'
The insider added: "Barron just snapped at Ray and started pushing him and shouting at him, and that's when Ray hit him."
Barron, 24, apparently also opened a bottle of Jameson whiskey and kept partying for the next three hours, before posting the Instagram picture and leaking details of the fight to gossip site TMZ.
He originally claimed Lindsay approached him at the bash with a male friend (Ray) and told him, "You talk s**t about me to my boyfriend, this is what you get."
In an interview with police, Barron also said the troubled star - who famously fell out with his sister Paris in 2006 - was laughing as Ray hit him.
