Paris Jackson allegedly attempted suicide after learning that she and her older brother have different fathers.

The aspiring actress, the daughter of the late Michael Jackson, reportedly plunged into depression after discovering that her brother, Prince Michael, 16, is not her full biological sibling.

A Jackson family friend told the Sun on Sunday newspaper: "Paris has always wanted to believe Michael was her dad, but was aware that wasn't really the case."

The source claims that Paris assumed Debbie Rowe was their mother and that an unnamed man was their biological father but was recently told that this isn't the case.

The insider said: "She was convinced her and Prince were full siblings. She always idolised him.

"Hearing she wasn't started a downward spiral."

The 15-year-old is still being treated in hospital in Los Angeles and reportedly wants to live with godmother Diana Ross once she is released instead of being under the care of grandmother Katherine and cousin TJ Jackson.

According to an insider, Paris said: "I want to live. I just don't want to live at home any more. I feel like I'm being stifled there.

"I miss my dad terribly still and at times I feel like there's no one I can talk to about how I feel.

"I want to go and live with Diana, who was one of dad's closest friends."

It was recently said that the 69-year-old singer was concerned for her goddaughter's well-being but had no intention of stepping on the toes of the Jackson family while the 'Thriller' star's children are in good care.
