Perrie Edwards and Dougie Poynter were spotted getting close at the Glamour Women of The Year Awards.

The Little Mix singer and McFly bassist attended the glitzy event on Tuesday (07.06.16) Awards and spent the evening chatting "into the early hours".

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Perrie looked amazing and caught Dougie's eye. The two of them stayed chatting into the early hours. It was clear they were loving each other's company."

Perrie, 22, who previously dated Zayn Malik and Dougie, who split up from Ellie Goulding earlier this year, began following each other on Instagram back in April and the blonde beauty previously admitted she had a "little crush" on the musician.

She said: "Dougie Poynter from McFly started seeing Frankie Sandford from The Saturdays and I was gutted."

Meanwhile, Dougie's ex is said to have moved on to royalty, after she was reportedly seen "all over" Prince Harry at the Audi Polo Challenge recently.

"It turned into a real party late into the night and there was a complete ban on taking pictures so Harry and the other celebrities there could feel comfortable.

"Harry and Ellie only had eyes for each other all night - they spent a lot of time sitting together under blankets.

"They were seen having a kiss before Harry had to go because he was playing polo the next day. Ellie left about five minutes later."

But Ellie recently admitted she hopes she reconciles with Dougie in the future because they have a "special" connection.

Asked if they can work things out, she said: "Maybe. I hope so. We have something I know is special and I think other people see it - my friends see it, my family see it...

"But I think some things are just kind of unfinished, an unfinished story. I hope so - he's a real gem and he's doing so well and he's keeping busy, as am I.

"I hope so, he's a great guy."
