Renee Zellweger has put her Connecticut farmhouse on the market for $1.6 million

She bought the property, which is called the Cotton Tavern, in 2004 and it has been listed with Christie's.

According to the listing, "this rural country retreat is set on 38 acres of enchanting grounds overlooking the Quinebaug River and features open fields, woodlands, gardens, and dry stone walls ensuring privacy."

The main building is 3,463 square feet, while it also contains a guest cottage, recreation barn and outbuildings.

Features of the huge home include seven fireplaces, the recreation barn for entertaining and a swimming pool.

Renee renovated the property - which is "bordered by the Quinebaug River on the east, and is surrounded by two open fields on both sides with large areas of conserved land across the street and to the south of the property" - when she bought it in 2004.
