The 'Body On Me' hitmaker has revealed she has drawn on her past relationships - to the likes of Calvin Harris and Ricky Hilfiger - as inspiration for her latest record.

When asked if her music had been influenced by her break ups, she told The Sun newspaper: "Yeah, I've got about two of those records. But the thing is I get angry first then I get emotional. I hate hate hate hate hate that person and then I'm like, 'Wait a minute, hold on ...'

"It's amazing because it is a big transition in my life. It's definitely the most emotional album I've ever done, but not in a sad way. It's angry, it's happy, it's love - it's everything in one."

Meanwhile, Rita previously revealed "everything started to go a bit weird" with her former flame Calvin after they released 'I Will Never Let You Down' together.

She said: "There was a reason why I split up with him ... It was more of a thing where I was in awe. I was at that point in my relationship where I felt he could do no wrong.

"I thought he had my back and that he'd never steer me wrong. But then 'I Will Never Let You Down' came out, and everything started to go a bit weird. I don't know if it was because business was mixed with personal or what."
