The Boyzone star tied the knot with his beautiful wife Storm in Scotland back in August and he admits when he asked Ed if he would perform at the reception he never thought the 'Thinking Out Loud' hitmaker would say "yes".

In an interview on UK daytime TV show 'This Morning', Ronan said: "We were very lucky to get Ed! I asked him a few months before and I couldn't believe he said, 'Yeah, no problem, let me check the diary and make sure I'm free,' and he said he'd come up and do it. I just couldn't believe it."

Storm only discovered Ed was going to be singing when he stepped on stage and she admits she "lost it".

The Australian TV producer said: "I only knew that Ro's manager was going to sing for us, because he sang at his 20 years earlier, and I was close to tears just by that! And they moved me back to start dancing so I didn't know what was happening behind me .... and the next minute everyone just starting screaming and I turned around and there was Ed and I lost it! It was a massive surprise."

Ronan - whose three children, Jack, Missy and Ali, all had roles in the ceremony - has never been happier then since he met Storm and their relationship has inspired his new solo album, which he has confirmed will be released on February 12, 2016.

Speaking about the songs on the LP, he said: "It's taken me a year to make this record. It's just a very important time in my life, the last few years have been incredible, and I've been very fortunate to find this lady ... I'm in a great place. I just continued to write and write and write, and all the stories have come out. It's from the heart and it's out February 12, we agreed the date yesterday!"

Revealing she had some creative input into the LP, Storm added: "I'm his biggest fan and also his harshest critic!"
