The 'Tale of Tales' star, who runs the cosmetics company Nuance Salma Hayek, hasn't completely ruled out going under the knife in a bid to preserve her youthful appearance in the future, but says she would never get Botox.

The 49-year-old actress said: "I don't really take big risks when it comes to beauty. I think a big risk is plastic surgery. I'm very conservative in my beauty routine. I don't know if I would never get plastic surgery. I'm not planning on it right now."

Asked about her thoughts on less invasive procedures, she told PEOPLE magazine: "I don't believe in Botox, especially when [people] do it so young. They destroy themselves. They keep telling young girls, 'Do it young, so you never get wrinkles.' No, your face is going to fall. You'll have to keep getting more and more and more each time. So if you're going to do it, I recommend doing it as late as you can."

Salma previously insisted she isn't worried about turning 50 in September 2016.

The actress, who has seven-year-old daughter Valentina with husband Francois-Henri Pinault - explained: "In the past, when I tried to imagine what I would look like at my age, I was terrified. But now I've realised that I can still be beautiful approaching 50, and I feel very good about my life."
