Peter Rombough, 22, will receive professional help after he pleaded guilty to stalking the 42-year-old soap star following her decision to report him to the police for delivering hand written love letters to and camping outside of her family home in Bedfordshire.

Nicole Burton of the defence told Luton Magistrates' Court: "A psychiatric team in Norfolk will be the people responsible for supervising his treatment."

The defendant admitted to travelling 93 miles to the home Samantha shares with her husband Mark and her children Benjamin and Lily earlier this year to deliver a love letter.

He was later confronted by Sam's husband after she spotted him camping outside of her house in the early hours of the morning.

The court heard that Rombough posted an apology to the couple on Twitter, writing: "I never meant to cause upset. I am very sorry."

Rombough was due to be sentenced yesterday (14.10.15) but the case was adjourned as a probation report is yet to be prepared although the psychiatric report has already been written, the Daily Mirror newspaper reports.

At an earlier hearing the court heard how the man admitted to police that his fantasies about the actress began in 2009 when he was just 16 years old.

Samantha - who plays Ronnie Mitchell in 'EastEnders' - provided a statement saying that while she is distressed by the ordeal, she hopes Rombough gets the help he needs.
