Simon Cowell's son thinks he's a dog.

The 55-year-old music mogul has revealed his energetic 13-month-old tot, Eric, believes he's a four-legged animal because he has grown up around Simon's pooches, Squiddly and Diddly.

He confessed: "He's walking now - and he walks like the Duracell Bunny. Part of him also thinks he's still a dog, because he's grown up around the dogs."

The 'Britain's Got Talent' judge continued to say the toddler - who he had with his girlfriend Lauren Silverman last year - is similar to what he was like as a child, although not as much of a "brat".

He said: "He's like I was when I was a kid. Or maybe a bit nicer. I think I was a bit of a brat."

Speaking about his personality, he added Eric is becoming more like him as the days go by, as they often spend time together in the middle of the night when Simon gets home from a long day of work.

He explained to the Daily Mail newspaper: "Because I work late, Eric knows that if he cries in the middle of the night, the chances are I'll be awake. He's worked out I'll go to him. It's lovely, actually. In the past every time I saw babies they were crying, but when you spend a bit more time with them you see them settling down, their little characters developing. They start to take on a bit of your personality."
