The 'Mission: Impossible 5' actor thinks the dating app is "weird", "cloaked" but "honest" and only used to find out if you would have sex with the matches you swipe right for.

He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "You both know what you're there for, to see if you're going to be OK to sleep with each other really. It's a weird, although honest, cloaked way of interacting."

Meanwhile, Simon - who is married to music publicist Maureen McCann - insists his new film 'Man Up' is a proper "date movie".

In fact he thinks the comedy is so romantic any couple who go to the cinema to watch the film - also starring Lake Bell - should expect to have sex afterwards.

He quipped: "It's a date movie. People should expect full on intercourse afterwards."

Simon is currently shooting new action movie 'Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation' with Tom Cruise and has revealed the pair have taken up an unlikely new hobby.

He revealed:: "We do crochet knitting. It's really fun. We spend a lot of time together on set crocheting together."
