The 'Game of Thrones' actress is preparing to marry Joe Jonas, 28, and she finds comfort in the fact she's found someone she wants to be with "forever".

She said: "I'm still like: Holy s**t! I'm engaged...

"It's lovely to be engaged. Not like I achieved anything, but I found my person like I'd find a house that I love and want to stay in forever.

"There's a sense of peace that comes with finding your person. But there's a drive that comes with your career."

But the 22-year-old actress finds it frustrating that people seem to value her personal achievements over her professional ones, and she insists her career will always be the "greatest thing" she'll do in her life.

Speaking to the new issue of America's Marie Claire magazine, she said: "There's this weird misconception that being married is the greatest thing that'll ever happen to you.

"But I've always found that my career is something I work for, and when I achieve something, there's a sense that this is the greatest thing I'll do in my life."

Meanwhile, Sophie recently admitted she hasn't started looking for her wedding dress yet because she knows fashions will change before they tie the knot next year.

She said: "I think fashion is ever-changing. You never know what's going to be fashionable next year, so I think I am just holding off for now."

The actress' best friend and 'Game of Thrones' co-star, Maisie Williams, has already revealed she'll be a bridesmaid on the big day.

When asked if she was hoping to be secure a bridesmaid position for the nuptials, Maisie, 20, said: "Oh, already got it. Yeah, it's very, very exciting. It's kind of bizarre though."

But the couple haven't begun planning their big day just yet though, as Maisie revealed that Sophie is keen to wrap filming on the final season of 'Game of Thrones' - which will air in 2019 - before she lets wedding planning take over her life.

Maisie said: "We're waiting 'til this season's done until we get into it. But I think she's already letting her little heart wander and imagine."
