Tori Spelling hopes her marriage problems will teach her children a lesson.

Tori Spelling wants to sit her four children down one day for a "candid" chat about her marital problems.

The 'True Tori' star was left devastated when husband Dean McDermott - with who she has children Liam, seven, Stella, six, Hattie, two, and 22-month-old Finn - confessed to cheating on her last December and she hopes to one day have a "candid" chat with her kids to explain what happened and how they got through the other side.

She told E! News: "I hope to be able to have a very candid conversation with them one day because I hope we will have made it through this and made it out on the other side, and we survived something that was a tough thing.

"We made it through and we can talk about it freely and say, 'You know, things aren't always easy and you've got to work on a relationship, and somethings things happen that isn't great but you move forward. I hope that's the case and I hope to be able to talk to them about it."

The 41-year-old beauty - whose attempts to repair her marriage were chronicled on 'True Tori' says she and her spouse are "working" on their relationship and trying to rebuild for the future.

She added: "We're working on things. We're committed to being a family and moving forward and that's what we're trying to do--it's day by day.

"[The next step is] trying to rebuild our relationship and evolve. Moving on from what happened, the new relationship that kind of transpires."
