He was last year’s Big Brother heart-throb and keen to live up to his romantic image, Ziggy Lichman is now working alongside DatingDirect.com to help love blossom in cyber space.

FemaleFirst caught up with the former model to find out if there really is any love on the Northern Line.

Have you got any favourites this year?

I like Darnell because he's pretty funny and I think his audition piece was sort of, "Hey I’m not one of the best looking guys but I am what I am." I just think he's cool and down to earth and he seems like he's had a bit of a life experience.

Also, I like Cat, she seems pretty funny and bubbly and it's nice for her to be on because I don’t think that she's the normal type of person they would go for and I think she is breaking a couple of boundaries because there's language barriers there and I think it's very good for the British public to have diverse people in there.
Is anyone getting on your nerves already?

Yeah, I don't really like Alexandra, i think there's no need for someone to be so aggressive, i just don't understand her, it's just like; "Chill out love."

Does Alexandra remind you of someone from last year then?

[Laughs] Yeah, but Charley wasn't as bad really, you know, she's got a nice side to her in the way that she doesn't take herself that seriously. She said it was a game and she was putting on an act but i cant argue with girls anymore, I’m done with that after my experience in Big Brother, there's just not enough time in the day to argue with people, so when someone come's in really aggressive and confrontational you just think "what's the point?"

Do you have any regrets about being on the show?

No I have none at all, about anything that happened.

You're currently working with Dating Direct to promote online dating, do you think that the stigma which has been associated with dating websites is now a thing of the past?

I think so because a lot more people are opening up to dating websites, and DatingDirect.com has about 3.5 million members so it's the biggest website there is for dating.

Personally I think people are letting their guard down a lot more when it comes to online dating because it's a way of finding love or happiness or whatever someone is looking for and there are like-minded people on there. Obviously you can get the odd person with strange requests but i think that all in all websites are a good way forward.

Lets be honest, there are some horrendous chat-up lines out there, what has been the worst that has been used on you, and what's your worst one?

A few years ago I used to use them when i was trying to be cool, I’ve used the general ones and my favourite was the Fred Flintstone one which is; "I may not be Fred Flintstone but I can make your bed rock."

It’s a bit cheeky and I think that if a chat up line is cheeky and not too serious then it's a good ice breaker and you can follow on conversation after that but if you walk over looking really serious then someone will lock at you and think "What you doing?"

When I'm sat in my office and bored on my computer, how are you going to woo me through cyber space?

Obviously we'd go for the initial ice breaker so I’d throw in something to make you laugh, now I’ve used the Fred Flintstone on I’ll have to think of a new one... So how about "I'm new to this town, could you give me directions to your house?"

Or I‘d say; "Have you got a map because I keep getting lost in your eyes.” Which I think is really sweet but in a survey by DatingDirect it was actually found to be one of the most offensive! Which I don't actually understand how it's possible as it's quite a nice one as it isn’t too cheesy and not so forward either.

You're currently training to be a cage fighter as part of 'Cage Rage,' do you think that will woo the women then?

I don't think violence is really something that will woo people but I started off the project doing the training because this production company was doing the show and they got in contact with me and asked if I would be interested and what really interested me was the training side of it, keeping fit and things as well as learning martial arts which is massively popular nowadays but I think the other person I was going to do it with [Aaron Sidwell] dropped out because of injury and then i fractured a rib so i don't really know if that's fully happening now.

I don’t think violence Woo’s people no but there is a huge female audience out there for cage fighting as it is quite interesting to watch if you can get past the fact that it is pretty dangerous.

Finally, all the 90's bands are coming back, are Northern Line going to make a return?

[Laughs] I think it would be criminal to try and make a comeback as we were around years ago and we weren't even that big. Boyzone and Take That were massive bands so lots of people want to see them. also, it think that after big brother music is a hard thing to get into because the strange thing about big brother is that you come out of the house and a lot of people are against you trying to work or do well so i think music would be the wrong way to go but to anyone who tries it, is wish them the best of luck.
