Lisa Williams, is an internationally renowned Medium and Clairvoyant with her own TV show Voices from the Other Side on Sky TV’s Real Lives.
Although Lisa was born in Birmingham, and raised in Redditch she now lives in LA, having established herself as a regular on US TV with her shows Life Among the Dead and Voices From The Other Side. Lisa’s book Life Among the Dead on the Hay House imprint has just been published here and it tells Lisa’s compelling life story. I caught up with Lisa for a chat ahead of her UK tour.
Hey Lisa, how are you?
I’m good thank you, it’s so nice to be doing stuff in England again!
What are you getting up to at the moment?
Nothing super exciting really, I’m just on tour and carrying on with my work and just keep putting out the message!
I see you’re coming back over to the UK next month for a short tour, how did that come about?
Well I decided to come back home, one because I miss but also there’s that side to it where so many people have watched me in the UK and they say “Oh! You’re touring in America, why won’t you come to the UK?” so I said, “Okay then…!”
That’s one of the reason’s, I told my tour manager that the UK wanted me to come back and we both said “Let’s do it” they put on five dates so I wasn’t sure what they’re going to be like, and sadly there are no London dates which is a shame. But that’s the reason we came back.
I’m looking forward to it because it’s a big thing coming back home when I left for America three years ago; it was only supposed to be for six weeks but three years later…
Now I’m coming to watch you in Salford and I’ve never seen a ‘real’ clairvoyant before, so what can I expect?
Right, you can expect a lot of fun! A lot of people come along and they’re never sure what they’re coming into and a lot of people are scared don’t be scared because it’s actually a lot of fun. Come along with the expectation of it being interesting… not wanting a message like that.
I will do reading after reading throughout the audience and it’s a lot of fun; just imagine you’ve got your drunk old granny who used to wear Norah Batty tights on Christmas Eve and I come through with her expressions and the humour. So everyone laughs then, but then you get the serious sides where you get a murder or something like that and we’re tying to solve some questions and give answers
A lot of the time it’s a lot of fun, and you see people coming in with the weight of the world on their shoulders and leaving feeling completely different people. The healing process that happens there is amazing.
Now I’ve been reading your book, Life Among The Dead and I’ve got to be honest, I only got it last week so I’m only up to chapter three, but I wanted to ask you, what was it like when you saw those faces coming out of your bedroom walls at four years old?
