I think it could be fun. Its a challenge for someone who isnt usually a perfomer of this nature. Its good to be out of the comfort zone and I see it as a great challenge. The fact that we can make money for our chosen charities whilst having fun makes it all worth it.How has the vocal training going?
Its been really fun. Completely different to what Im used to. The guys have been really professional but make the sessions enjoyable. The difference between both vocal teachers is is vast one rock and one opera so its been a great insight into the music industry.Which of the judges are you most nervous facing?
All of them!Which judge would you like to be your mentor?
Simon Cowell it would be quite interesting to see what hes like off camera.Are you terrified about singing live?
Im terrified of it, but at same time exhilarated by the idea.How will you react to the judges if they give you negative comments?
Its important not to take it too seriously. Im not a musician - Im a rugby player. Im here to have fun but want to do well, so that my chosen charity makes some money.What past singing experience have you got?
I went to a really good choir school and we won the Gold at the Choir Olympics in Vienna.Who would be most surprised if you were to win the competition?
Probably my team mates.
What do you friends/family/colleagues think of you taking part?
They think Im brave and my team mates think its great as it means theyll be able to get
tickets to the studio!
Do you come from a musical family?
Yes I do. My brother is a very good musician, my dad and mum both sing and my
grandfather was a organist for the church back in South Africa.
What is your karaoke song?
Anything by Frank Sinatra.
Who is your singing inspiration/favourite artists?
Frank Sinatra
How does taking part in this competition compare to your normal job?
Im used to playing to a crowd!
What scares you must the thought of singing live or the judges comments?
Singing live.
Other than the vocal training have you been doing any of your own preparations?
I walk along with my ipod listening to the songs Im singing because I dont want to
forget the words.
Would you have applied for The X Factor if you werent famous?
Ive got a lot of respect for all those people who take part in the normal show as its so
hard to get through to where we are now.

What other projects are you currently working on?
Getting fit for next season and the Rugby World Cup.
