How does it feel to be back?
It feels good, I’m glad it’s coming back on screen cos it was tons of fun to film.
What’s the best thing about being on MTV?
The best thing about being on MTV is because I’m a DJ I can get more gigs and build that Pauly D brand.
Does it help you get girls?
I’ve had it easy my whole life because I’ve been on the scene working hard.
Do women treat you differently now you’re famous?
Sometimes. You get the groupies but you have to tell the difference between them and the real girls. They all think they know everything about you. They see the real me on the show but they don’t know that I’m just a normal person too.
How does the show change in the second season?
The second season is different. On the first we’d all just met for the first time now we’ve known each other for a while and we’re friends. There’s a different atmosphere- we know how to push each other’s buttons. We’re also in Miami- which is a real party state already.
Do you deliberately wind each other up for the cameras?
We don’t force anything that happens .It’s not scripted and whatever you see is exactly what happens- that’s why people like the show. I’m friends with them all and we speak on the phone every day.
Was it harder to film the second season now you’re famous?
It was a bit harder but MTV did a good of keeping us away from the paps
Who is your ideal woman Pauly?
I like a girl who takes care of herself cos I take care of myself. A lady who goes to the gym and is tanned.
Any celeb crushes?
Kim Kardashian is hot and I met Eva Mendes recently, she’s nice.
Are you a fan of British women?
I’ve heard they are beautiful. I would like to come over and DJ- you should hook it up. I’m gonna make that happen.
What do you play when DJing?
I’m open to everything. I play every single type of music.l Hip hop, dance, mash ups- they are big at the moment. I’ve been playing a lot of Drake and David Guetta. I DJ at local Jersey clubs and at the Palms in Las Vegas too.
I want to become one of the top DJs in the world and work on some production and my own album. I look up to people like P Diddy cos he’s a businessman too- he’s got his hands in everything.
