I keep wondering whether or not Joel is disappointed, since while Nicole was pregnant, he frequently stated that he was "hoping for a boy". I don't know why prospective parents make such statements...because it's guaranteed that the child, reading this when they are grown, could develop major complexes. Ditto for the example of Nicole Kidman, who frequently mentions how her PSYCHOLOGIST father often spoke about having wanted a boy.
