Counting calories, I was able to lose over 25lbs. It's a bit of a pain, especially if you're doing it by hand, but it has been the only effective way for me to lose weight. If you're more computer savvy there are software programs which can help you track your calories. I've tried using a program called diet power and it helped me immensly.
