In response to both the article and the previous commenter..no, this isn't bitter lemons from PETA...they have a valid point. I don't agree with their personal attack on Cindy Crawford...the kind of comments made by their representative certainly detract from their cause. However, the use of fur in the fashion industry is totally unacceptable particularly in view of the way the fur is farmed. LIVE SKINNING OF ANIMALS? Can anyone really think that is OK? It cannot be ok!!! The agony these creatures must endure just so that models and the consumers that subsequently buy the products to adorn themselves with is abhorrent. It is that very thing that dehumanises. We cannot detach ourselves from the processes that go into making the products we buy. It is a complete abuse of nature and what for...to feed human vanity. Please, everyone, think before you buy. Purchasing anything with even the slightest trim of fur on contributes to the ongoing agonies of the creatures farmed for their fur. And beware products labelled Faux Fur. Be sure it is fake before you buy.
