I've read a lot of material in criticism of this comment, and I have to say I think she was misunderstood. I think she may have been trying to say that the woman would be unlikely to succeed in getting this kind of case to go to trial. Of course, this is probably true, which is another problem altogether.

And I have to say, I think it's rather brave of her to mention that this happened to her. It's something taboo, and I can appreciate that someone with her respectability and position was willing to share such a story.
