Any safety device that prevents injury is good if it works, and should be made available and encouraged to all. But I have a serious problem with anything "made compulsory". Free people should make their own safety choices, not to be forced or enforcded by a government.

Fear a government that wants to protect You from Yourself! Safety should be Educated Not Legislated.

To paraphrase the words of a famous US founder - Those who would give up liberty for safety, deserve neither.
