Back to: Where Do Human Hair Extensions Really Come From?

by aheadofhair.biz 18 April 2010

This is an interesting article , but i think this is only half the story, the article fails to mention that a majority of the hair used for hair extensions is gathered (mostly in Asia) from thousands of women who collect daily natural shedding in a box , once filled to a certain weight it is then sold to hair extension manufacturers. This hair that has naturally shed ,(collected from hair brushes etc ) would other wise be throw away, the donors are actually receiving money for this . The single donor hair is known as remy hair , and donors are usually paid well for this , as it can be sold for a much higher price.
