Edie Falco is one of the best actresses, in our out of HBO. What an inspiration! I could only hope I could hold it together as she did during that most difficult time for her.

My mother had breast cancer in 1987 and has been cancer free ever since. I found a lump in 2003, which was benign. However, I've been having a mammogram every year since. (I was 34 years old.) Now women my age (I'm 40 now) are complaining about having to do it. I lecture them, but I'm not sure it does any good. But for all women out there, do a self-exam every, and I mean EVERY month. And when your doctor orders a mammogram for you, GET IT. It really isn't as bad as people say, and it can save your life.

Thanks Edie for being you. You are so classy and I am truly inspired by you!
