there is no way that Corey could leave a band that they(all the band members)have brought so far, plus leave the rest of the guys. they are family and unless Duff and Slash can pick up there playing, then i don't ever seeing it happen. Slipknot and Stone Sour rock harder than Velvet ever has. Corey may make appearances with them, but he would never leave the tickets that he has made. Remember what happen to Van Halen did, when they brought in Sammy. Not the same thing, but Sammy's songs were more along the line of Van Halen so it was an easy fit.
