Incredible that this day and age there are still people who want you to feel guilty about masturbation. Animals masturbate. Does that mean it's "unnatural" or "sinful"? I don't see how.

We were born with sexual desire. It's our desire that makes our species reproduce. Without strong sexual desire humanity would become extinct. If there is a God, he/she/it CREATED that sexual desire. I know I started feeling it long before I knew what to do about it. By the time I started masturbating I was crazy with desire. Masturbation is a wonderful outlet for our overpowering desire. But like anything else that has to do with sexuality, it has to be channeled properly. It's something to be done in privacy, not not while standing naked in a shopping mall, for instance. It's something to be done because YOU want to, not because someone else wants you to or has forced you to. It's something to be done for enjoyment and release of sexual tension so you can continue with your day in a sane manner, without obsession and fantasy interrupting and taking over your life. Masturbation keeps you sane. Single people masturbate. Married people masturbate. Men, women, young, old, black, white, straight, gay, religious, atheist. And those of you who believe masturbation is wrong should talk to their ministers. Believe me, they're doing it, too. Even if they don't admit it. There's absolutely nothing wrong with masturbation, and you should only feel ashamed about masturbating if it's getting in the way of the rest of your life and somehow causing you serious problems, like, by breaking laws. But masturbating in the privacy of your bedroom with a locked door? Beautiful. Wonderful. Natural. Glorious. I encourage you to do it. Girls, in particular, need to explore their bodies often, as you seem to not know very well how you work "down there." How are you going to tell your future husband or lover what you like, if you yourself don't know how it all functions and have developed no preferences at all. That's like walking into a restaurant without ever having tasted food. What on earth would you order from the menu?
