Back in February 1862 Don Facundo Bacardí Massó bought a distillery and started to innovate with rum - producing Cuba's first clear variety.

His son Facundo plants the coconut palm at the entrance to the distillery which thrives despite fires, hurricanes and earthquakes.

It becomes known as El Coco, and locals start a prophecy: "Bacardi will survive in
Cuba as long as El Coco lives".

And here we are in 2012 and Bacardi are celebrating their 150th anniversary and to celebrate FemaleFirst have teamed up with them to give away some great prizes.
