Vampires are cool again! With Twilight, Vampire Diaries and True Blood all soaring in popularity, it’s time to celebrate the two series that inspired them all, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel.

Both complete series on DVD have been completely ‘re-vamped’ and the new-look box-sets will be available in the run up to Christmas.

Created by Joss Whedon (Serenity, Firefly), Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel are still as fresh and enjoyable as ever.

Buffy introduces us to Buffy Summers (Sarah Michelle Gellar; Ringer), a teenager who moves to Sunnydale to escape her vampire slaying past. It soon becomes apparent, however, that she can’t escape her destiny as the ‘chosen one’.

Sworn to protect The Slayer is Angel, a mysterious and brooding presence that Buffy finds herself irresistibly drawn to.

However when the two become more than just friends things go desperately awry... Angel is eventually forced to leave Sunnydale and battle the forces of evil on his own. Angel follows the tumultuous life of this ‘Vampire with a soul’.
