The Ice Road Truckers are taking on their most perilous journey yet. Ice Road Truckers follows veteran truckers, Hugh ‘Polar Bear’ Rowland and Alex Debogorski, who head to Alaska, 250 miles north of the Arctic Circle, with their team of fearless drivers. 

They face hundred foot cliffs, hairpin curves, avalanches, minus 70 degree temperatures and their biggest challenge to date; having a girl on the road with them, the daredevil Lisa Kelly.

With less than three months to shuttle critical supplies to the oil camps of Alaska’s North Slope, the drivers are pushed to their limits.  Their 400 plus-mile journey is fraught with danger as they drive over steep mountain ice, frozen tundra and the treacherous ice roads of the Arctic Ocean.

Every day the truckers risk their lives and tackling the frozen roads north of the Arctic Circle is a unique and harrowing experience, no matter who the driver is. 

Hundreds of talented truckers have lost their lives navigating this route; drivers never know what will be waiting for them around the next hairpin bend and only the strong, and lucky, survive.
