One of the world's best loved children's characters, Thomas the Tank Engine�, returns in an all new feature length direct to DVD special Thomas & Friends: The Great Discovery, in stores across the UK on 6th October 2008 and marks the debut of actor Pierce Brosnan as the voice of new narrator.

Whilst racing James across the Island, Thomas discovers a long-lost deserted town high in the mountains, called Great Waterton. The whole Island is thrilled with Thomas� discovery and The Fat Controller declares that the town will be restored to its former glory to commemorate Sodor Day. To aid Thomas with the restorations a new engine, Stanley, is introduced. Threatened by Stanley Thomas decides to play a trick on him which doesn�t go quite as planned. Thomas finds himself lost and alone with the whole island hunting for him. With a mine shaft, a raging river and a giant leap over a mountain gorge to overcome, will Thomas be found and make it back to restore Great Waterton is time for Sodor Day?
