After their recent sell out show at Indigo2 in London, The Brand New Heavies are pleased to announce a special one off Christmas show on 16th December in London, in association with the Big Issue, at the Bloomsbury Ballroom.

This incredibly hot ticket sees the three founding members of the band and original songstress N’Dea Davenport coming together to help the homeless for a special one off event in support of The Big Issue. This will be the final date of a 36 date autumn tour which has taken The Brand New Heavies on tour in UK and Europe for the first time in 10 years, and a return visit to Heavies’ favourite country Japan.

The event has had a number of charitable donations including Champagne St-Evremond (from Vince Power) guests will be offered a complimentary glass of champagne on arrival (while stocks last) and feature special guests The Cuban Brothers. In addition there will also be a line of up of DJ’s that include Kissy Sell Out and Ronnie Herel, all of whom have offered to donate their services for the evening.

The evening will have a different format to their usual gigs with the band generating a party atmosphere at Christmas; doors open at 8pm and the dancing will continue until the early hours. The event will also host a luxury goods and celebrity raffle; Charlie Cox is donating a personally designed T Shirt, Jan Kincaid, one of the Brand New Heavies founding members is donating the drumsticks (used at the event) and there will be a host of luxury brand items all donated to help raise more money on the night.

Tickets for the event are priced at £30 and can be purchased on the Gigantic.com web site. In keeping with the theme of giving something back the band choose to sell tickets on Gigantic because 10% of the booking fee will also be donated to The Big Issue.

Commenting on the gig, lead singer N’Dea Davenport said, “We are really excited about the gig, it’s a difficult time of year for the homeless and being able to give something back whilst still entertaining our fans is a great honour.”
