To mark the first ever Virgin Media Shorts Awards, we’ve teamed up with the organisers to offer one lucky reader the chance to attend the prestigious awards ceremony on 29th September, when Britain ’s best up and coming film talent will be crowned.
Virgin Media Shorts, in association with FilmFlex, is the UK ’s first short film competition to showcase undiscovered film talent across four screens – TV, cinema, mobile and computer. This year, Virgin Media Shorts has enlisted the help of a highly credible judging panel to crown the 2008 winner, including award-winning stage and film actor Kevin Spacey, British director Gurinder Chadha, and star of Green Wing and Confetti, Stephen Mangan.
With over 1,400 entries now whittled down to just 12 short-listed films – the lucky film maker will be announced at London’s BFI, Southbank, have the chance to win a whopping £30,000 towards their next short film and work exclusively with Virgin Media and the UK Film Council.
