England is Mine

England is Mine

Known as the purveyors of great music since 1976, Rough Trade has successfully promoted and sold records by punk rock and early post-punk and indie bands – including The Smiths. The film ENGLAND IS MINE tells the story of Morrissey (played by Jack Lowden) dreaming of becoming a musician but struggling to find his voice. After much soul-searching, his efforts culminate in him meeting Johnny Marr - a meeting that would lead to the formation of legendary ’80s band The Smiths, and change the face of British music forever.

What better setting to watch this story unfold than at Rough Trade, who is screening the film at three of their stores across the UK. Join us at Rough Trade East London or Rough Trade Nottingham on Thursday, 7th December for a special screening at 7pm, or at the soon-to-be opened Rough Trade Bristol on Monday 18th December for a 7pm screening.

Tickets are FREE and available now from https://www.roughtrade.com/gb/events.

For those unable to make the screening, we’re giving away 2xDVD copies so you can enjoy the film from home!
