For a good night's sleep when you're at university

Whether it's for the first time or going back for another year, making sure your son or daughter is well prepared for life at university more often than not falls on parents' shoulders. Whilst you can't control what they get up to at uni, one thing you can be sure of is that they'll be getting a comfortable night's sleep.

A survey by Slumberdown found that whilst many parents struggle with the financial implications of sending their children to university, 44% spend more on champagne and luxury drinks products once their child has flown the nest.

And parents aren't the only ones upping their alcohol intake. University students might not indulge in bottles of champagne, but new data reveals that the average student spends £28 per month on beer, wine, and spirits. That's more than they spend, per month, on dairy products (£9.13), frozen foods (£8.45), and cleaning goods (£6.75) combined.

Whilst you can't control what they get up to at uni, one thing you can be sure of is that they'll be getting a comfortable night's sleep.
