On behalf of the producers, Curve is delighted to announce the full principle casting for FINDING NEVERLAND, premiering in Leicester this autumn (22 Sept – 13 Oct).

The cast will feature Julian Ovenden as James Barrie, Rosalie Craig as Sylvia Llewelyn Davies, Liz Robertson as Mrs DuMaurier, and Clare Foster as Mary Barrie together with a cast of 20 and a live orchestra.

Adapted from the much-loved Oscar-winning Miramax film, FINDING NEVERLAND, this exquisite new production is brought to the stage by celebrated Oscar and Tony Award-winner Harvey Weinstein, with direction and choreography by Olivier and Tony Award-winner Rob Ashford (Anna Christie at Donmar Warehouse), a book by Allan Knee (Little Women on Broadway), and music and lyrics by Tony Award nominees Scott Frankel and Michael Korie.

Escape to a wonderful world of enchantment with this musical tale of the life of playwright J.M. Barrie, and the inspiration behind his classic book, The Adventures of Peter Pan. With his last play a failure, James Barrie is crippled by writer’s block and success seems like a far-away land. But then a chance encounter with widow Sylvia Llewellyn Davies and her four young sons sends his heart and imagination soaring, and their friendship gives birth to a magical tale that will live forever.

Julian Ovenden has conquered the West End with show stopping performances in Annie Get Your Gun at The Young Vic and Grand Hotel directed by Michael Grandage at the Donmar Warehouse and on Broadway in Butley opposite Nathan Lane. This charismatic actor and singer has just released his debut album and is well known for playing many leading roles in high profile television shows on both sides of the Atlantic. Two spine-tingling performances at the 2010 Proms, singing Sondheim and Rodgers and Hammerstein, won him not only standing ovations, but inspired viewers to write to the BBC in their thousands and garnered him rave reviews.

West End actress Rosalie Craig will play Sylvia, the mother of the Llewelyn Davies boys, who inspired Barrie to write his classic stories. Craig is currently wowing audiences and critics as the Mother in Ragtime at the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre in London.  Her other recent theatre credits include Company at Sheffield Crucible, London Road at the National Theatre and Swallows and Amazons at the Bristol Old Vic and Aspects of Love at the Menier for which she was nominated for the Whatsonstage.com Best Actress in a Musical Award.

Liz Robertson will play Sylvia’s mother DuMaurier.  Robertson is especially well known for her performances as Madame Giry, having played the role in the original cast of Love Never Dies at the Adelphi Theatre, in The Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty's Theatre and during The Phantom of the Opera 25th Anniversary Concert (2011) at the Royal Albert Hall.

Clare Foster will play Barrie’s wife Mary.  Foster has played numerous roles both on and off the West End including the hit West end show Avenue Q where she played the role of Mrs T / Bear.  She has also been seen as a regular, PC Millie Brown in the ITV series The Bill. Foster recently appeared in the 2011 London revival production of Crazy for You, which played at the Novello Theatre. She will be appearing in the upcoming Les Misérables film.
