To dream about being on a diet suggests that you are restricting yourself in your waking hours.
You are not allowing yourself to do the things you really want to. Ask yourself why. Is it for good reason or are you holding back because it’s what someone else wants?
Is this restriction a form of punishment? Perhaps you are trying to make amends for something you have done by denying yourself the pleasurable things you usually enjoy. Is this the right way to go about it or is there another solution?
Diets can also be ab0out getting rid of excess- this doesn’t necessarily have to be excess weight but perhaps you have an abundance of something else in your life that you’re looking to leave behind.
Diets can represent fads too so maybe you have started out on something lately that you know won’t last. You aren’t committed enough to it to see it through but perhaps you are doing it to join in with others or for something to do. Do you need to channel this time and energy into something you really care about instead?
More simply, the dream could be a reflection of a diet you are following in your waking hours. Perhaps the dream is telling you to carry on- that you are doing well and need to persevere with it if you have lost momentum.
On the flipside, perhaps the dream is urging you to seek out and follow a weight loss plan. If your health is suffering as a result of your poor eating habits maybe you need to do something about it.
It’s possible you need to try something new- perhaps you have fallen into the trap of doing the same things over and over and you would benefit from a drastic change in your lifestyle.
