To dream about a senior citizen usually represents wisdom or life lessons that are learned.

It’s possible you need to see your mistakes as something you can learn from rather than as a negative. That everyone does things they regret- but it’s important to take what you can from it and move on.

Consider what the person in the dream was telling you as it could be vital in finding the answers and solutions to your problems in your waking life. It might guide you in the right direction if you are being naïve or childish during your waking hours.

Elderly people are also thought to represent the power of forgiveness for past experiences. Perhaps there is someone you need to forgive in order to move on or to re-establish a connection with. You may need to show someone more understanding if you have been resentful towards them.

If you saw an elderly person in your dream, you may also want to live a long and happy life and look forward to your latter years. On the other hand, you may be worried about getting older and all the downsides you think are associated with old age.

If you are already in this age bracket, it’s possible that wherever fears you have during the day are now filtering through into your dreamscape.

More negatively, senior citizens might symbolize a confidence in you- you think yourself as having been there and done that and you are bored because you know something all too well. You are constantly re-experiencing the same situations and you are falling into a rut. Do you need to find a new challenge or to educate yourself in something fresh?

Consider the physical state of the person in your dream- were they weak and frail or strong? Either way they might represent how you feel physically or mentally right now.
