If you are a religious person, perhaps dreaming about God isn't such an unusual thing. After all, God may be who you turn to in times of crisis and this may be His way of telling you that's He's there for you. But there are actually many interpretations of what meeting God in your dreams can mean.
If you don't believe in God, for example, this may be a sign that you need spiritual guidance of some sort, or at least help solving your problems. You may feel as though you are no longer in control of something in your life, and feel overwhelmed by certain obligations. It may be time to take some time to yourself and share your burdens with others.

More deeply, perhaps you once believed in God and now you are suffering some kind of spiritual block; dreaming about God may be a sign that He's there with you, and it may help you to heal yourself spiritually or at least find the right path for you.
Regardless of whether or not you believe, the presence of God is generally associated with hope and faith. But it can also be a reminder of some guilt that you are feeling. If you are being judged by God in your dream, it may be time to seek forgiveness for your actions. This could mean from God, from a friend or family member, or even from yourself.

Sometimes God can represent someone you love or worship, and can be your mind's way of reminding you of the person that you want to be. It may be pushing you to take steps to be a better person, or else forcing you to listen to the voice of reason.
If you dream that you ARE God, this could either mean that you are in perfect control of your life right now, or that you are trying too hard to control others. Remember, your wisdom is only worth anything if people are willing to hear it.
