While it is only September (2021), Halloween is just around the corner. Many people are already thinking about the spooky holiday, and are on their way to decorate their homes and pick out some outfits.

Halloween, and the weeks before it, can lead us to think about all things spooky, but what does it mean when we dream of a creepy icon: the pumpkin? The orange fruits are used as decoration and flavourings around that frightful night; so, as that time approaches, what does it mean to dream about pumpkins?

Seeing pumpkins

If you dream about simply seeing pumpkins, this can mean that you are open and willing to openly accept new experiences. So, if you are conflicted about whether to try something new, then this is your sign to do so!

Pumpkins are said to be a sign of transformation, so perhaps a big change will happen in your life.

The dream could also be telling you that the things you want the most will come to you, and this is the right time to accomplish something significant; try your best to remain open-minded.

Eating a pumpkin

When you dream of eating pumpkin, this might be a sign that you are getting closer to someone from your past, someone who has lost contact with you.

This can bring about a ripe opportunity to right any wrongs, heal any forgotten wounds, and try to restore what was lost from both sides.

If you are looking for purity, working to mend a broken relationship may just bring that to you.

Boiled pumpkin

Dreaming of boiled pumpkin may seem odd, but it has a significant meaning.

It can be an important sign that you’re going through a time of learning; you should take this opportunity and drain all sources of knowledge around you, and take hold of this feeling.

This dream can bring about the ideal time to obtain new knowledge, or improve upon the ones you already have.

It is important to know what to do with this knowledge, so seeking it out is useful if you know what to look for.

Lots of pumpkins

If you dream of a large number of pumpkins, this signifies good news!

It is a strong sign that you will benefit from this dream, especially if the fruit is ripe, beautiful and shining.

However, if any of these pumpkins were to break, it can mean that bad news might be headed your way. In your waking life, you may want to try and stay organised and as happy as possible, in order to keep those hypothetical pumpkins from breaking.

Large pumpkin

If you see a somewhat colossal-sized pumpkin in your dream, it could be a sign of durable prosperity. The material in your life will increase, and will continue to do so; just as long as you keep fighting for it.

It seems like you are someone who aims to achieve your goals and stick to expectations, and will benefit from your positive attitude.

However, you probably shouldn’t relax for too long, as you must continue to fight for the happiness and benefits within your life. You know how to deal with adversity, and this will benefit you in everything you do.

Small pumpkin

When you dream of small pumpkins, this may be a sign that you have a minor problem you need to solve.

However, pumpkins of course grow and can become rather large; this mirrors what can happen when easy/small issues go untreated. If you have anything to deal with that may seem unimportant, now is the time to deal with it.

You should perhaps take a look at the way you work, and see if anything can be changed in order to work more logically.

Green pumpkin

If you dream about green/raw pumpkin, its meaning corresponds to your health.

It’s good news, though; the dream can symbolise that your health is improving, and may continue to do so. If you are ill, for example, a green pumpkin is a sign that your well-being will improve soon.

Some believe this dream to be negative, however; it could be a sign that you should be grateful and that people in your life need you. If this is the case, it doesn’t have to be negative; simply work on your existing relationships a little harder.
